Automatic line matching across views

چکیده
This paper presents a new method for matching individual line segments between images. The method uses both greylevel information and the multiple view geometric relations between the images. For image pairs epipolar geometry facilitates the computation of a cross-correlation based matching score for putative line correspondences. For image triplets cross-correlation matching scores are used in conjunction with line transfer based on the trifocal geometry. Algorithms are developed for both short and long range motion. In the case of long range motion the algorithm involves evaluating a one parameter family of plane induced homographies. The algorithms are robust to deficiencies in the line segment extraction and partial occlusion. Experimental results are given for image pairs and triplets, for varying motions between views, and for different scene types. The three view algorithm eliminates all

Matching of Line Segments Across Multiple Views: Implementation Description (memo)
This memo describes a MATLAB implementation of matching of line segments accross multiple calibrated views. It extends the three-view matching described in [3, 4] to multiple views. The input of the algorithm is a set of gray-scale images, a set of line segments (each represented by two endpoints) for each image, and the camera projection matrix for each image. The output is a set of matches (a...
متن کاملMeasurement of Left Ventricular Myocardium Wall Instantaneous Motions with Echocardiographic Sequence Images
Background & Aims: One of the important aims of quantitative cardiac image processing is the clarification of myocardial motions in order to derive biomechanical behavior of the heart in the disease condition. In this study we presented a computerized analysis method for detecting the instantaneous myocardial changes by using 2D echocardiography images. Methods: The analysis was performed on th...

متن کاملMetropogis: a Feature Based City Modeling System
In this paper we report on a system to extract 3D information from oriented digital facade images using various feature extraction/matching methods. We emphasize on 2D feature extraction from digital images including contour chains, line segments and vanishing points. The extraction of 3D primitives is based on line matching over multiple oriented views and 3D plane detection by a line grouping...
